China Academy of Art
China Academy of Art (CAA), established in 1928 under the initiative of Cai Yuanpei, is China’s first national comprehensive institution of higher arts education. As a Double First-Class Initiative university and a key institution in Zhejiang Province, CAA has developed into one of the world’s leading art education institutions, renowned for its achievements in art creation, design, and theoretical research.
CAA centers its academic development on Fine Arts, Design, and Art Theory. The Fine Arts discipline was rated A+ in the fourth round of China’s national academic evaluations. The university houses top-level platforms such as the National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center for Cross-Media Arts and the Ministry of Culture Key Lab for Creative Design and Manufacturing.
