Yale Scholars Visit Qianhai to Explore New Collaborative Opportunities in Smart Cooperation

From July 3 to 4, the Qianhai International Talent Service Center, in collaboration with the Yale University Chinese Scholars Association, invited nearly 30 experts, scholars, and students from Yale University to visit the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Cooperation Zone. The delegation engaged in deep exchanges focusing on policy empowerment, industrial collaboration, and talent synergy. The delegation visited key organizations and enterprises, including the Qianhai International Talent Service Center, Hipro, and UBTECH, experiencing firsthand the vibrant energy of Qianhai as a driving force for international innovation in the Greater Bay Area and its powerful attraction for global high-end talent.

PART 01: Policies Leading Talent Attraction and Exploring New Paths for Talent and Industry Integration

The delegation's first stop was the Qianhai International Talent Harbor, where they gained an in-depth understanding of the one-stop services Qianhai offers for international talent and its superior entrepreneurial environment. During the exchange session, key representatives from relevant departments of Qianhai introduced the latest policies supporting international talent innovation and entrepreneurship, industrial development, and overseas talent workstations. The Yale scholars showed strong interest in Qianhai’s forward-looking layout and efficient support system, with many scholars expressing initial interest in potential collaboration.

PART 02: Leading Companies Showcase Cutting-Edge Technologies and Stirring Innovation

Following the policy introduction, the delegation visited leading biotech company Hipro and artificial intelligence star company UBTECH. At Hipro, the delegation toured the CAP/EMQN dual-certified international standard laboratory and engaged in deep discussions on breakthroughs in precision medical technology. Hipro’s Vice President of Human Resources, Zheng Ying, shared cases of precision medical technology applied in overseas markets, and the technology team demonstrated an industry breakthrough with a 99.7% gene capture rate for solid tumors. Their vision of "using technological innovation to benefit humanity and ensuring every life is healthy for 120 years" deeply resonated with the Yale scholars' belief in technology's potential to serve humanity.

The visit to UBTECH focused on the latest advancements in humanoid robot technology. At UBTECH, Executive Director and Vice President of Human Resources Liu Ming delivered a forward-looking presentation titled "Embodied Intelligence Reshaping the Workplace." He outlined the revolutionary leap of embodied intelligence technology, explaining how AI is evolving from data interaction to perception and action capabilities, making humanoid robots the future form. Liu Ming also analyzed the ensuing human resource revolution, emphasizing that after robots take over "hard skills," the core workplace competencies will shift to uniquely human "soft values" such as empathy and creativity. He highlighted that human resource management will shift its focus to deeply uncovering irreplaceable "emotional capabilities." Through a "technology-scenario-human" closed-loop, he illustrated a "new symbiosis between humans and machines," where robots permeate scenarios and profoundly drive organizational and talent transformation. This insight deeply resonated with the Yale scholars, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere during the session.

PART 03: Qianhai's Strong Attraction for Openness and Collaborative Development

The two-day visit left the Yale delegation with significant insights. The scholars not only felt the dynamic vitality and potential of Qianhai but also gained a clear understanding of its science and technology innovation landscape and talent environment. Many scholars expressed their intent to engage in scientific research collaboration and innovation entrepreneurship in Qianhai.

In the future, Qianhai will continue to optimize its international first-class business environment and talent ecosystem, actively building high-level platforms for exchange and cooperation. Through hosting global academic exchanges, innovation and entrepreneurship roadshows, and using overseas talent workstations as platforms, Qianhai aims to provide full-chain services for international technology transfer, joint R&D incubation, and capital matchmaking. This will attract more top talents from world-renowned universities to gather in Qianhai, co-drawing a new blueprint for international science and technology innovation cooperation in the Greater Bay Area.
