60 International Biopharmaceutical Leaders Visit Qianhai, Fostering Cross-border Joint Talent Attraction Between Shenzhen and Hong Kong

On July 2, a delegation of 60 top executives, investment representatives, and researchers from biopharmaceutical companies across 16 countries, including Europe, the U.S., and Southeast Asia, visited Qianhai. The delegation participated in the "Innovative Hong Kong: Exploring Medical Technology in Qianhai" event, organized by Innovation Hong Kong, with the Hong Kong Talent Service Office as a strategic partner, and supported by the Qianhai Administration. The event aimed to discuss the latest developments and investment opportunities in Hong Kong and Shenzhen, accelerating joint innovation and talent attraction between the two cities.

During their visit, the delegation toured the Kerry Center, Qianhai Exhibition Hall, Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth DreamWorks, and Qianhai International Talent Harbor. They also held talks with the Qianhai Administration to gain an in-depth understanding of Qianhai’s policies and industrial ecosystem. The group also visited the Hong Kong Polytechnic University Qianhai Frontier Technology Innovation Center, Qianhai Taikang International Hospital, and Qianhai Bay Island Cell, gaining further insights into the region's achievements in medical technology and core scientific research outcomes. Many international talents expressed strong interest in the development plans for both Shenzhen and Hong Kong.

This visit facilitated excellent exchanges between investment representatives and international experts and highlighted Hong Kong's position as an international talent hub. It also realized the cooperation memorandum signed between the Hong Kong Talent Service Office and the Qianhai Administration on June 3. By showcasing the region’s cross-border convenience, complete industrial chain, international atmosphere, and strong market demand, the event promoted the "dual-city layout" for international institutions. It encouraged companies to establish R&D headquarters in Hong Kong and industrialization bases in Qianhai, marking a new phase in cross-border joint talent attraction and deepening cooperation in areas such as talent recruitment, services, employment, and development between Hong Kong and Qianhai.
