On May 21, the "Capital Engine · Driving Life: Empowering Healthcare and Life Sciences" China-Europe Industry-Finance Matchmaking Event was successfully held in Shenzhen. The event was organized by the Shenzhen Sino-European Innovation Center and the Shenzhen UK-China Science and Technology Innovation Center—both part of the Haizhi Workstation under the Shenzhen Association for Science and Technology. It was supported by the Investment Promotion Bureau of Futian District and attended by the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency’s Shenzhen Office, alongside representatives from various Chinese and European investment institutions and healthcare enterprises.
During the European project roadshow, five outstanding European tech companies in the healthcare and life sciences sectors showcased their technological advantages and market strategies, focusing on areas such as digital oncology treatments, autologous tumor vaccines, telemedicine, and AI-driven drug development.
During their visit, the delegation toured the Kerry Center, Qianhai Exhibition Hall, Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth DreamWorks, and Qianhai International Talent Harbor. They also held talks with the Qianhai Administration to gain an in-depth understanding of Qianhai’s policies and industrial ecosystem. The group also visited the Hong Kong Polytechnic University Qianhai Frontier Technology Innovation Center, Qianhai Taikang International Hospital, and Qianhai Bay Island Cell, gaining further insights into the region's achievements in medical technology and core scientific research outcomes. Many international talents expressed strong interest in the development plans for both Shenzhen and Hong Kong.
