International Bionic Academy Settles in Changping Future Science City
The 2025 Bionic Robotics and Bionic Intelligence Conference recently opened in Changping Future Science City, marking several major milestones in the field of bionics. During the event:
The Bionic Robotics Innovation Alliance was officially launched,
The Bionic Robotics Application Laboratory was established in Future Science City,
The International Bionic Academy was founded,
The Beijing Exhibition Hall of the International Society of Bionic Engineering (ISBE) was inaugurated.
The International Bionic Academy, as the top academic body and think tank of ISBE, will actively lead the development of global bionic science and engineering.
The Bionic Robotics Application Laboratory aims to build an integrated platform combining industry, academia, and research to accelerate the transformation and application of cutting-edge bionic robotics technologies.
The ISBE Beijing Exhibition Hall showcases five major sections:
Materials & Structures
Perception & Cognition
Actuation & Motion
Information & Intelligence
Bionic Applications
It serves as a bridge connecting science and engineering, nature and technology.
At the conference, multiple enterprises and institutions—including Future Science City Group and Yuequan Bionics—signed strategic cooperation agreements to explore new models for industry implementation. Yuequan Bionics also unveiled several innovative products that attracted significant attention, including:
The “X-Hand M1”, a bionic hand with 11 degrees of freedom and sensitive tactile perception
The “Y-Hand M1”, a dexterous bionic hand
The “X-Bot”, a full-sized general-purpose humanoid robot
The “W-Bot”, a compact wheeled humanoid robot chassis
Liu Xiaodong, Deputy Party Secretary and District Mayor of Changping, and Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee of Future Science City, emphasized that Changping, as a key area of development in the capital’s plain new city initiative, has successfully established three major industrial clusters in recent years. It is proactively laying out future industries including synthetic biology manufacturing, robotics, and 6G.
As one of the flagship events of the 2025 Zhongguancun Forum, the conference focused on breakthroughs in core technologies of bionic robotics and their application pathways, providing a high-level global platform for the exchange of ideas and innovation in bionic science and technology.
